  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-8783, to House File 2539 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 2 through 4 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 28, by inserting after line 4 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  COMMUNITY GRANT FUND – DRUG ABUSE
  1  8 RESISTANCE EDUCATION.  Notwithstanding any provision
  1  9 of section 232.190 to the contrary, there is
  1 10 appropriated from the community grant fund established
  1 11 in section 232.190 to the Iowa law enforcement academy
  1 12 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and ending
  1 13 June 30, 1999, the following amount, or so much
  1 14 thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
  1 15 designated:
  1 16    For salaries, support, maintenance, and
  1 17 miscellaneous purposes to provide statewide
  1 18 coordination of the drug abuse resistance education
  1 19 (D.A.R.E.) program:  
  1 20 .................................................. $     56,000"
  1 21    #   .  By renumbering as necessary."
