  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-8455, to Senate File 2406,
  1  2 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 3, line 48, by inserting after the word
  1  5 "process." the following:  "The rules shall include
  1  6 but are not limited to the following:
  1  7    a.  Performance indicators for community
  1  8 empowerment areas, community boards, and the services
  1  9 provided under the auspices of the community boards.
  1 10 The performance indicators shall be developed with
  1 11 input from community boards and shall build upon the
  1 12 core indicators of performance for the school ready
  1 13 grant program, as described in section 7I.7.
  1 14    b.  Minimum standards to further the provision of
  1 15 equal access to services subject to the authority of
  1 16 community boards."
  1 17    #2.  Page 8, line 2, by inserting after the word
  1 18 "report" the following:  "and the Iowa board's
  1 19 determination that the community board is measuring,
  1 20 through the use of performance indicators developed by
  1 21 the Iowa board with input from community boards,
  1 22 progress toward and is achieving the desired results
  1 23 identified in the grant plan.  If progress is not
  1 24 measured through the use of performance indicators
  1 25 toward achieving the identified results, the Iowa
  1 26 board may request a plan of corrective action or may
  1 27 withdraw grant funding".
  1 28    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
