1 3 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 30, the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. TASK FORCE – DOMESTIC PARTNERS. The
1 6 legislative council is requested to establish an
1 7 interim task force to review the issues faced by
1 8 domestic partners including but not limited to
1 9 property rights, access to courts, parentage,
1 10 inheritance, hospital or health care facility
1 11 visitation, health decisions, contract rights,
1 12 workplace benefits, insurance coverage, and retirement
1 13 benefits. The task force shall include
1 14 representatives of the legal profession, the courts,
1 15 insurance, business and industry, labor, consumers who
1 16 are domestic partners, and others with interest or
1 17 expertise in this area. The task force shall submit a
1 18 report of recommendations concerning these issues and
1 19 recommendations for any necessary legislation to the
1 20 general assembly by January 1, 1999."
1 21 #2. Title page, line 1, by striking the words "the
1 22 validity of" and inserting the following: "certain
1 23 relationships including".
