  1  3    #1.  Page 1, line 3, by striking the figure
  1  4 "3,137,098" and inserting the following:  "3,172,098".
  1  5    #2.  Page 1, line 5, by striking the figure
  1  6 "250,000" and inserting the following:  "285,000".
  1  7    #3.  Page 1, by inserting after line 15, the
  1  8 following:
  1  9    "#   .  Page 10, by striking lines 17 through 23."
  1 10    #4.  Page 1, line 24, by striking the figure "1999"
  1 11 and inserting the following:  "2000".
  1 12    #5.  Page 1, by inserting after line 45 the
  1 13 following:
  1 14    "#   .  Page 30, line 25, by striking the word
  1 15 "subsection" and inserting the following:
  1 16 "subsections".
  1 17    #   .  Page 30, by inserting after line 25 the
  1 18 following:
  1 19    "NEW SUBSECTION.  10A.  For the fiscal year
  1 20 beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, the
  1 21 amount of thirty-five thousand dollars from phase III
  1 22 moneys to the department of education for allocation
  1 23 to the Sioux City community school district for
  1 24 purposes of developing and implementing a listening
  1 25 curriculum.""
  1 26    #6.  By striking page 1, line 48 through page 2,
  1 27 line 3, and inserting the following:
  1 28    "Sec. ___.  CONTINGENT APPROPRIATION.  In the event
  1 29 the funds transferred in accordance with section
  1 30 257B.1A, as amended by 1998 Iowa Acts, House File
  1 31 2533, if enacted, are not received by the department
  1 32 of education in the fiscal year beginning July 1,
  1 33 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, for allocation to
  1 34 assist school districts in developing reading recovery
  1 35 programs, in addition to the allocations provided
  1 36 for".
  1 37    #7.  By renumbering as necessary.
