  1  1    Amend Senate File 2353, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 279.51, subsection 1,
  1  6 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 1997, is
  1  7 amended to read as follows:
  1  8    There is appropriated from the general fund of the
  1  9 state to the department of education for the fiscal
  1 10 year beginning July 1, 1997, and each succeeding
  1 11 fiscal year, the sum of fifteen eighteen million one
  1 12 hundred seventy thousand dollars."
  1 13    #2.  Page 1, line 4, by striking the word "two" and
  1 14 inserting the following:  "two five".
  1 15    #3.  Page 1, line 5, by striking the word "eight"
  1 16 and inserting the following:  "eight seven".
