  1  1    Amend Senate File 2151, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 20 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  NEW SECTION.  730.6  ATTENDANCE AT
  1  6 POLITICAL PARTY CONVENTIONS.
  1  7    1.  An employer shall permit an employee, upon
  1  8 reasonable notice, to take unpaid time off from work
  1  9 to attend, as an elected delegate, a regularly
  1 10 scheduled local, district, county, state, or national
  1 11 convention of a political party as defined in section
  1 12 43.2.
  1 13    2.  An employer shall not take any adverse action
  1 14 against an employee who exercises the employee's right
  1 15 to attend a political party convention pursuant to
  1 16 this section.
  1 17    3.  A person who violates this section is, upon
  1 18 conviction, guilty of a simple misdemeanor."
  1 19    #2.  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 20 word "delegates" the following:  "and participation in
  1 21 political party conventions,".
  1 22    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
