1 1 Amend Senate File 2391 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting before line 31 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 101. Section 321J.4, Code Supplement 1997,
1 5 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 10. Notwithstanding the
1 7 requirement in subsections 2, 4, and 8 for a court
1 8 order for an individual to install an ignition
1 9 interlock device as a prerequisite to obtaining a
1 10 temporary restricted license, such requirement shall
1 11 apply only to offenses committed on or after July 1,
1 12 1997."
1 13 #2. Page 3, line 2, by striking the word "DATE."
1 14 and inserting the following: "AND APPLICABILITY
1 15 DATES. Section 101 of this Act is retroactively
1 16 applicable to July 1, 1997, and is applicable on and
1 17 after that date."
1 18 #3. Title page, lines 7 and 8, by striking the
1 19 words "and providing an effective date" and inserting
1 20 the following: "providing a limitation on the
1 21 applicability of the requirement for an ignition
1 22 interlock device as a prerequisite to obtaining a
1 23 temporary restricted license, and providing effective
1 24 and retroactive applicability dates".
1 25 #4. By renumbering as necessary.
