1 6 #3. Page 16, by inserting after line 18, the
1 7 following:
1 8 "Sec. ___. REDUCTION OF APPROPRIATIONS. This
1 9 section shall apply to each appointed nonelected
1 10 position which is supported by moneys appropriated in
1 11 sections 1 and 3 of this Act. If the amount of moneys
1 12 to be used for a salary during the fiscal year
1 13 beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, is
1 14 more than the amount actually required to pay that
1 15 salary for the fiscal year, the amount of the relevant
1 16 appropriation shall be reduced by the amount equal to
1 17 the difference. The amount appropriated in section 1,
1 18 subsection 4, of this Act, to support financial
1 19 incentives for soil conservation practices under
1 20 chapter 161A shall be increased by the amount of the
1 21 difference."
1 22 #4. By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
1 23 and correcting internal references as necessary.
