1 4 "Sec. ___. NEW SECTION. 455B.200C COUNTY
1 5 NOTIFICATION.
1 6 1. A person who constructs an animal feeding
1 7 operation structure which is part of a confinement
1 8 feeding operation, other than a small animal feeding
1 9 operation, shall notify the county board of
1 10 supervisors of the construction, if all of the
1 11 following apply:
1 12 a. The confinement feeding operation has two or
1 13 more buildings used to confine animals.
1 14 b. The confinement feeding operation utilizes a
1 15 formed manure storage structure which is not required
1 16 to be constructed pursuant to a permit under section
1 17 455B.200A.
1 18 2. The county may notify persons of the
1 19 construction and provide a forum for public comment,
1 20 including a public hearing."
