  1  1    Amend House File 2436 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, line 10, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "party" the following:  "whose candidates for
  1  4 president of the United States or governor, as the
  1  5 case may be, received the greatest and the next
  1  6 greatest number of votes in the most recent general
  1  7 election".
  1  8    #2.  Page 2, line 12, by inserting after the word
  1  9 "commissioner." the following:  "Each county
  1 10 commissioner or commissioner's designee shall serve
  1 11 two-year staggered terms."
  1 12    #3.  Page 2, by striking lines 23 through 25 and
  1 13 inserting the following:  "The commission shall
  1 14 organize and elect a".
