  1  1    Amend House File 2494 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 35, by inserting after the figure
  1  3 "204.3A;" the following:  "permit application fees
  1  4 paid to the department before obtaining a permit to
  1  5 construct an animal feeding operation structure which
  1  6 is part of a confinement feeding operation as provided
  1  7 in section 455B.200A;".
  1  8    #2.  Page 4, by striking lines 1 through 28 and
  1  9 inserting the following:
  1 10    "1.  If the confinement feeding operation has an
  1 11 animal weight capacity of less than six hundred
  1 12 twenty-five thousand pounds, the following shall
  1 13 apply:
  1 14    a.  For all animals other than keeps poultry, the
  1 15 amount of the fee shall be five ten cents per animal
  1 16 unit of capacity for the confinement feeding
  1 17 operations operation.
  1 18    b.  For poultry, the amount of the fee shall be two
  1 19 cents per animal unit of capacity for confinement
  1 20 feeding operations.
  1 21    2.  If the confinement feeding operation has an
  1 22 animal weight capacity of six hundred twenty-five
  1 23 thousand or more pounds but less than one million two
  1 24 hundred fifty thousand pounds, the following shall
  1 25 apply:
  1 26    a.  For all keeps animals other than poultry, the
  1 27 amount of the fee shall be seven and one-half twenty-
  1 28 five cents per animal unit of capacity for the
  1 29 confinement feeding operations operation.
  1 30    b.  For poultry, the amount of the fee shall be
  1 31 three cents per animal unit of capacity for
  1 32 confinement feeding operations.
  1 33    3.  If the confinement feeding operation has an
  1 34 animal weight capacity of one million two hundred
  1 35 fifty thousand or more pounds, the following shall
  1 36 apply:
  1 37    a.  For all animals other than poultry, the amount
  1 38 of the fee shall be ten cents per animal unit of
  1 39 capacity for confinement feeding operations.
  1 40    b.  For poultry, the amount of the fee shall be
  1 41 four cents per animal unit of capacity for confinement
  1 42 feeding operations."
  1 43    #3.  Page 20, by inserting after line 7 the
  1 44 following:
  1 45    "___.  A permit application fee of fifty dollars
  1 46 which the department shall deposit into the manure
  1 47 storage indemnity fund created in section 204.2."
  1 48    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
