1 2 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 25 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. ___. Section 811.2, subsection 1, Code 1997,
1 5 is amended by adding the following new unnumbered
1 6 paragraph:
1 7 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. Any bailable defendant
1 8 who is charged with unlawful possession, manufacture,
1 9 delivery, or distribution of a controlled substance or
1 10 other drug under chapter 124 or 125 and is ordered
1 11 released shall be required, as a condition of that
1 12 release, to submit to a substance abuse evaluation and
1 13 follow any recommendations proposed in the evaluation
1 14 for appropriate substance abuse treatment."
1 15 #2. Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
1 16 word "penalties" the following: "and bail
1 17 requirements".
