  1  1    Amend the Senate amendment, H-1957, to House File
  1  2 266, as passed by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 24 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. 651.  Section 422.7, Code 1997, is amended by
  1  6 adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  35.  The amount of salary paid by
  1  8 a business to a nonproduction worker which exceeds
  1  9 thirty times the average annual wage paid to the
  1 10 production workers of that business shall not be
  1 11 allowed as a deduction in determining net income under
  1 12 this section."
  1 13    #2.  Page 20, by inserting after line 44 the
  1 14 following:
  1 15    "Sec.    .  Section 651 of this Act, enacting
  1 16 section 422.7, subsection 35, applies retroactively to
  1 17 January 1, 1997."
