1 6 following: "appropriation was made.
1 7 (2) Notwithstanding subparagraph (1), prior to
1 8 reverting any funds remaining unobligated or
1 9 unexpended from the appropriation to the department of
1 10 human services for medical assistance in 1996 Iowa
1 11 Acts, chapter 1213, section 3, at the close of the
1 12 fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, the department
1 13 shall retain $1,500,000 which shall remain available
1 14 to be used for the purposes designated in this section
1 15 in the succeeding fiscal year. The moneys retained
1 16 shall be transferred to the Iowa department of public
1 17 health. Of the moneys transferred, $1,000,000 shall
1 18 be used for the public health nursing program and
1 19 $500,000 shall be used for the home care aid/chore
1 20 program. Notwithstanding section 8.39, moneys
1 21 transferred pursuant to this section are not subject
1 22 to further transfer.
