  1  1    Amend the House amendment, S-3603, to Senate File
  1  2 533, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 4 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "#   .  Page 11, by striking lines 32 through 34
  1  7 and inserting the following:  "correctional farms
  1  8 under the control of the department at the same or
  1  9 greater level of participation and involvement as
  1 10 existed as of January 1, 1997, and shall further
  1 11 attempt to provide meaningful job opportunities at the
  1 12 farms for inmates.""
  1 13    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 4 the
  1 14 following:
  1 15    "#   .  By striking page 11, line 35, through page
  1 16 12, line 7 and inserting the following:
  1 17    "13.  The department of corrections, to the extent
  1 18 permissible by law, shall implement, as soon as
  1 19 possible but in no event later than July 1, 1997, a
  1 20 program to limit the availability of television to
  1 21 inmates in correctional facilities under the control
  1 22 of the department to channels representing networks or
  1 23 stations for which under normal circumstances a fee is
  1 24 not required.""
  1 25    #3.  Page 1, by inserting after line 14 the
  1 26 following:
  1 27    "#   .  Page 36, by inserting after line 2 the
  1 28 following:
  1 29    "   .  Section 5, subsection 13, relating to the
  1 30 availability of television to inmates in correctional
  1 31 facilities, being deemed of immediate importance,
  1 32 takes effect upon enactment.""
  1 33    #4.  By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
  1 34 and correcting internal references as necessary.
