1 1 Amend House File 722 as follows:
1 2 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 3 clause and inserting the following:
1 4 "Sec. . The legislative council is requested to
1 5 establish an interim committee to examine the costs,
1 6 benefits, and feasibility of the venture capital
1 7 investment proposal in House File 652. In addition to
1 8 members of the general assembly, the committee shall
1 9 include representatives of the state university
1 10 research parks, the Iowa seed capital corporation, the
1 11 John Pappajohn entrepreneurial centers, the Iowa
1 12 banking industry, the Iowa brokerage industry, the
1 13 department of revenue and finance, and the securities
1 14 bureau of the insurance division of the department of
1 15 commerce. The committee shall submit a report of its
1 16 findings and recommendations to the general assembly
1 17 by December 15, 1997."
1 18 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 through 4 and
1 19 inserting the following: "An Act relating to the
1 20 establishment of a committee to study the venture
1 21 capital investment proposal."
1 22 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
