  1  1    Amend House File 708 as follows:
  1  2    #1. Page 11, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  AGRICULTURAL DRAINAGE WELLS.  There is
  1  5 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  6 division of soil conservation of the department of
  1  7 agriculture and land stewardship for the fiscal year
  1  8 beginning July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, the
  1  9 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
  1 10 to be used for the purposes designated:
  1 11    For purposes of supporting the alternative drainage
  1 12 system assistance fund created in section 159.29A for
  1 13 purposes of supporting the alternative drainage system
  1 14 assistance program administered by the soil
  1 15 conservation division as provided in section 159.29B,
  1 16 if enacted by 1997 Iowa Acts, Senate File 473:  
  1 17 .................................................. $  1,000,000"
