1 3 #1. Page 2, line 17, by inserting after the word
1 4 "age" the following: "or unless the person has
1 5 successfully completed a course of instruction for the
1 6 safe use and operation of a personal watercraft
1 7 approved by the commission and has been issued a
1 8 personal watercraft safety certificate. The
1 9 department shall establish a curriculum for an
1 10 approved course of instruction for the safe use and
1 11 operation of a personal watercraft. The department
1 12 shall not enforce the age restriction relating to the
1 13 operation of a personal watercraft as provided in this
1 14 section until the commission determines that
1 15 sufficient courses of instruction in safe use and
1 16 operation of personal watercraft are available to
1 17 persons who wish to obtain a personal watercraft
1 18 safety certificate".
