  1  1    Amend Senate File 132, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 11, by inserting after line 28, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 321.560, Code 1997, is amended
  1  6 by adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1  7    A person who is determined to be a habitual
  1  8 offender while the person's license is already revoked
  1  9 for being a habitual offender under section 321.555
  1 10 shall not be issued a license to operate a motor
  1 11 vehicle in this state for a period of not less than
  1 12 two years nor more than six years.  The revocation
  1 13 period may commence either on the date of the final
  1 14 decision of the department under section 17A.19 or the
  1 15 date on which the district court upholds the final
  1 16 decision of the department, whichever occurs later, or
  1 17 on the date the previous revocation expires."
