1 4 "It is the intent of the general assembly that each
1 5 regional workforce development center designate a
1 6 business liaison outreach officer. The business
1 7 liaison outreach officer shall actively seek input
1 8 from area businesses regarding actual labor needs of
1 9 businesses within the region, determine the extent to
1 10 which area businesses have utilized or are utilizing
1 11 job placement services to meet these labor needs,
1 12 examine the past and current record of job placement
1 13 services regarding the ability to respond to these
1 14 labor needs through the referral of qualified job
1 15 applicants, and develop a plan for implementing
1 16 necessary changes for improving the level of business
1 17 utilization of job placement services and the ability
1 18 to refer qualified job applicants in the future."
