  1  1    Amend House Concurrent Resolution 12 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, line 16, by striking the word "NOW"
  1  3 and inserting the following:  "and
  1  4    WHEREAS, the planned site for the research farm
  1  5 should not be located at the proposed location near a
  1  6 water source outside the community of Madrid, until an
  1  7 independent environmental impact study is conducted
  1  8 and the department of natural resources is consulted
  1  9 in order to ensure that the disposal of manure
  1 10 originating from the site will not threaten Iowa's
  1 11 environment; NOW".
  1 12    #2.  Page 3, line 2, by striking the word "delay;"
  1 13 and inserting the following:  "threatening Iowa's
  1 14 environment;".
  1 15    #3.  Page 3, line 9, by inserting after the word
  1 16 "University;" the following:  "the Director of the
  1 17 Department of Natural Resources;".
