  1  1    Amend House File 331 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, lines 11 and 12, by striking the words
  1  3 "in either of the following situations" and inserting
  1  4 the following:  "if both of the following apply".
  1  5    #2.  Page 1, line 17, by striking the words "more
  1  6 than one" and inserting the following:  "a".
  1  7    #3.  Page 1, line 19, by striking the words "more
  1  8 than one" and inserting the following:  "a".
  1  9    #4.  Page 2, by inserting after line 18, the
  1 10 following:
  1 11    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE – APPLICABILITY.  This
  1 12 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
  1 13 effect upon enactment.  Notwithstanding the timing of
  1 14 the notice requirements in section 3 of this Act, a
  1 15 school district may conduct periodic inspection of
  1 16 school lockers, desks, or other facilities or spaces
  1 17 if the school district sends a notice to all students
  1 18 and the students' parents, guardians, or legal
  1 19 custodians prior to commencing any inspections."
  1 20    #5.  Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
  1 21 word "spaces" the following:  "and including effective
  1 22 and applicability provisions".
  1 23    #6.  By numbering and renumbering and changing
  1 24 internal references as necessary.
