Senate Study Bill 2031

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 80B.11, Code 1995, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  10.  Certification through examination for
  1  4 individuals who have successfully completed federal bureau of
  1  5 investigation law enforcement training programs.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill directs the director of the Iowa law enforcement
  1  8 academy to adopt rules for certifying as an Iowa law
  1  9 enforcement officer an individual who has successfully
  1 10 completed federal bureau of investigation law enforcement
  1 11 training and who successfully passes an examination developed
  1 12 by the director of the academy.
