PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. Section 321.1, subsection 32, paragraph f, 1 2 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1995, is amended to read as 1 3 follows: 1 4 Self-propelled machinery operated at speeds of less than 1 5 thirty miles per hour. The machinery must be specifically 1 6 designed for, or especially adapted to be capable of, 1 7 incidental over-the-road and primary off-road usage. In 1 8 addition, the machinery must be used exclusively for the 1 9 mixing and dispensing of nutrients to bovine animals fed at a 1 10 feedlot, or the application of plant food materials, 1 11 agricultural limestone, or agricultural chemicals. However, 1 12 the machinery shall not be specifically designed or intended 1 13 for the transportation of such nutrients, plant food 1 14 materials, agricultural limestone, or agricultural chemicals. 1 15The machinery shall be operated in compliance with section1 16321.463.1 17 EXPLANATION 1 18 This bill provides that certain self-propelled machinery 1 19 defined as an implement of husbandry is not specifically 1 20 subject to the gross weight restrictions provided in section 1 21 321.463. Instead, the machinery is treated similarly to other 1 22 equipment deemed an implement of husbandry and subject to the 1 23 exceptions to size, weight, and load requirements as provided 1 24 in section 321.453. 1 25 LSB 2142SC 76 1 26 ec/sc/14
