Senate Study Bill 169

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 904.115, Code 1995, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  7.  Monthly reports of the county jails
  1  4 submitted as provided in section 356.49 combined into an
  1  5 annual report.  The department shall notify the county
  1  6 sheriffs and the local law enforcement agencies that a copy of
  1  7 the annual report of county jail statistics is available upon
  1  8 request.  
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides that the department of corrections shall
  1 11 compile the monthly jail reports submitted by the county
  1 12 sheriffs in an annual report and notify the county sheriff and
  1 13 other local law enforcement agencies that a copy of the annual
  1 14 report is available upon request.
