1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES – TERRACE HILL.
1 2 There is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
1 3 the department of general services for the fiscal year
1 4 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, the
1 5 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be
1 6 used for the purpose designated:
1 7 For necessary maintenance and repairs at Terrace Hill:
1 8 .................................................. $ 20,000
1 9 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this
1 10 section which remain unexpended or unobligated at the close of
1 11 the fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund of the
1 12 state but shall remain available for expenditure for the
1 13 purpose designated in the succeeding fiscal year.
1 14 Sec. 2. SOLDIERS AND SAILORS MONUMENT OF THE CIVIL WAR –
1 15 REPAIR AND RENOVATION. There is appropriated from the rebuild
1 16 Iowa infrastructure fund of the state to the department of
1 17 general services for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995,
1 18 and ending June 30, 1996, the following amount, or so much
1 19 thereof as is necessary, to be used for the following purpose:
1 20 To provide for the renovation and repair of the soldiers
1 21 and sailors monument of the civil war on the state capitol
1 22 complex:
1 23 .................................................. $ 150,000
1 24 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this
1 25 section which remain unexpended or unobligated at the close of
1 26 the fiscal year shall not revert to the rebuild Iowa
1 27 infrastructure fund but shall remain available for expenditure
1 28 until June 30, 1998.
1 29 Sec. 3. WORLD WAR II VETERANS MEMORIAL – PLANNING AND
1 30 CONSTRUCTION APPROPRIATION. There is appropriated from the
1 31 rebuild Iowa infrastructure fund of the state to the
1 32 department of general services for the fiscal year beginning
1 33 July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, the following amount,
1 34 or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
1 35 following purpose:
2 1 To provide for the planning, siting, and construction of a
2 2 world war II veterans memorial:
2 3 .................................................. $ 200,000
2 4 1. The moneys appropriated in this section may be used to
2 5 match nonstate funds for the planning, siting, and
2 6 construction of the memorial. The state match shall be $2 of
2 7 state money for each $3 of nonstate money.
2 8 2. Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in
2 9 this section which remain unexpended or unobligated at the
2 10 close of the fiscal year shall not revert to the rebuild Iowa
2 11 infrastructure fund but shall remain available for expenditure
2 12 until June 30, 1998.
2 13 Sec. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
2 14 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
