1 1 Section 1. Section 99D.11, Code 1995, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 8. A licensee shall not permit the
1 4 operation of a satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2
1 5 to dispense cash or credit for gambling purposes within a
1 6 pari-mutuel racetrack enclosure.
1 7 Sec. 2. Section 99F.9, Code 1995, is amended by adding the
1 8 following new subsection:
1 9 NEW SUBSECTION. 7. A licensee shall not permit the
1 10 operation of a satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2
1 11 to dispense cash or credit for gambling purposes on an
1 12 excursion gambling boat.
1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill prohibits a licensee of a pari-mutuel racetrack
1 15 or an excursion gambling boat from permitting the operation of
1 16 a satellite terminal within the racetrack enclosure or on the
1 17 excursion gambling boat to provide cash or credit for
1 18 gambling.
