1 1 Section 1. Section 723A.1, subsection 1, Code Supplement
1 2 1995, is amended by adding the following new paragraphs:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. h. An offense constituting a violation of
1 4 chapter 705 relating to solicitation.
1 5 NEW PARAGRAPH. i. An offense constituting a violation of
1 6 chapter 713 relating to burglary.
1 7 NEW PARAGRAPH. j. An offense constituting a violation of
1 8 section 725.1 through section 725.4 relating to prostitution,
1 9 pimping, or pandering.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill adds burglary, solicitation, prostitution,
1 12 pimping, pandering, and leasing premises for prostitution to
1 13 the definition of criminal acts under chapter 723A regarding
1 14 criminal street gangs. These offenses are punishable as class
1 15 "D" felonies if committed through participation in a criminal
1 16 street gang.
