  1  1    Section 1.  Section 47.5, subsection 1, paragraph b, Code
  1  2 1995, is amended by striking the paragraph.
  1  3    Sec. 2.  Section 47.5, subsection 1, paragraph d, Code
  1  4 1995, is amended to read as follows:
  1  5    d.  No bids Bids shall not be required for legal services
  1  6 or the printing of ballots.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill eliminates the requirement that competitive bids
  1  9 be taken on the printing of ballots if the cost exceeds
  1 10 $5,000.
