1 1 Section 1. Section 298.4, Code 1995, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsections:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 6. To pay the costs of screening of
1 4 school bus drivers for controlled substances and alcohol use
1 5 as required in 49 C.F.R., pt. 40.
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 7. To pay the costs of an asbestos
1 7 project as defined in section 279.52.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill expands the purposes for which the district
1 10 management levy may be expended to include paying the district
1 11 costs of screening school bus drivers for controlled
1 12 substances and alcohol use as required by federal legislation
1 13 and paying the costs of an asbestos project as defined in the
1 14 Code.
