  1  1    Amend amendment, S-5710, to House File 2423, as
  1  2 passed by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, line 28, by striking the word "one"
  1  4 and inserting the following:  "two".
  1  5    #2.  Page 1, by striking lines 32 through 34 and
  1  6 inserting the following:  "1, 1997, to the department
  1  7 of education to be used for no more than ten pilot
  1  8 projects with two in each congressional district.  The
  1  9 pilot project shall encompass one school district and
  1 10 shall consist of an experimental program for acquiring
  1 11 laptop computers for".
  1 12    #3.  Page 1, line 36, by inserting after the word
  1 13 "home." the following:  "The tax revenues shall be
  1 14 allocated to the pilot projects on a per student
  1 15 basis."
