1 1 Amend Senate File 2370 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 22 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 100. NEW SECTION. 476.2A PRINCIPAL OFFICE.
1 5 Each rate-regulated gas and electric utility
1 6 operating within the state shall maintain the
1 7 utility's principal office for operations within the
1 8 state. The principal office shall be subject to the
1 9 jurisdiction of the board and shall house all of the
1 10 utility's books, accounts, papers, and records
1 11 required to be maintained by the board. The utility
1 12 shall maintain within the state administrative,
1 13 technical, and operating personnel necessary for the
1 14 delivery of safe and reasonably adequate services and
1 15 facilities as required pursuant to section 476.8."
1 16 #2. Page 7, by inserting after line 2 the
1 17 following:
1 18 "Sec. . EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 100 of this
1 19 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 20 effect upon enactment."
1 21 #3. Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
1 22 word "research" the following: "and requiring the
1 23 location of a principal office within the state and
1 24 providing an effective date".
