  1  1    Amend Senate File 2450 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 29 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  APPLICABILITY.  Notwithstanding the
  1  5 provisions of this Act, a person engaged in the
  1  6 business of preparing abstracts of title to real
  1  7 property, real property title searches, or other
  1  8 similar activities related to real property titles in
  1  9 this state without the benefit of an abstract title
  1 10 plant as required may continue to engage in such
  1 11 activities."
  1 12    #2.  Page 3, line 33, by striking the figure "1998"
  1 13 and inserting the following:  "2001".
  1 14    #3.  Page 3, line 35, by striking the figure "2000"
  1 15 and inserting the following:  "2006".
