1 1 Amend Senate File 2365 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 16 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 19A.23, Code 1995, is amended
1 5 by striking the section and inserting in lieu thereof
1 6 the following:
1 7 19A.23 LONGEVITY PAY PERMITTED. All state
1 8 employees, including employees of the department of
1 9 public safety, covered by this chapter or chapter 80,
1 10 shall be entitled to longevity pay as negotiated
1 11 pursuant to chapter 20 if the employed are covered by
1 12 a collective bargaining agreement. For state
1 13 employees not covered by a collective bargaining
1 14 agreement, longevity pay shall be determined by the
1 15 department."
1 16 #2. Page 3, by inserting after line 26 the
1 17 following:
1 18 "Sec. . Section 80.8, unnumbered paragraph 4,
1 19 Code 1995, is amended by striking the unnumbered
1 20 paragraph."
1 21 #3. Page 4, by inserting after line 16 the
1 22 following:
1 23 "Sec. . REPEAL. Section 307.48, Code 1995, is
1 24 repealed."
1 25 #4. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 26 word "compensation," the following: "longevity pay,".
1 27 #5. By renumbering as necessary.
