1 2 #1. Page 30, by inserting after line 7 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 910A.16, subsection 4, Code
1 5 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 6 4. To the greatest extent possible, a
1 7 multidisciplinary team involving the county attorney,
1 8 law enforcement personnel, community-based child
1 9 advocacy organizations, and personnel of the
1 10 department of human services shall be utilized in
1 11 investigating and prosecuting cases involving a
1 12 violation of chapter 709 or 726 or other crime
1 13 committed upon a victim as defined in subsection 1. A
1 14 multidisciplinary team may also consult with or
1 15 include juvenile court officers, medical and mental
1 16 health professionals, court-appointed special
1 17 advocates, guardians ad litem, and members of a
1 18 multidisciplinary team created by the department of
1 19 human services for child abuse investigations. The
1 20 department of justice may provide training and other
1 21 assistance to support the activities of a
1 22 multidisciplinary team referred to in this
1 23 subsection."
