  1  1    Amend Senate File 2448 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 23, line 33, through page 24,
  1  3 line 7, and inserting the following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  COMMUNITY GRANT FUND AND SUBSTANCE
  1  5 ABUSE GRANTS – FISCAL YEAR 1996.  There is
  1  6 appropriated from the unobligated and unencumbered
  1  7 balance of the gamblers assistance fund for the fiscal
  1  8 year beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996,
  1  9 the following amounts to be used for the purposes
  1 10 designated:
  1 11    1.  COMMUNITY GRANT FUND
  1 12    To the community grant fund established under
  1 13 section 232.190, to be allocated by the division of
  1 14 criminal and juvenile justice planning of the
  1 15 department of human rights for a grant to an urban
  1 16 facility whose primary function is to provide shelter
  1 17 services for runaways ages 11 through 17:  
  1 18 .................................................. $    200,000
  1 19    2.  SUBSTANCE ABUSE GRANTS
  1 20    To the Iowa department of public health for
  1 21 substance abuse program grants administered by the
  1 22 department:  
  1 23 .................................................. $    400,000
  1 24    The appropriations made in this section shall be in
  1 25 descending priority order and if the unobligated and
  1 26 unencumbered balance of the fund is insufficient for
  1 27 both appropriations, the appropriation in subsection 2
  1 28 shall be reduced accordingly.
  1 29    Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
  1 30 in this section shall not revert to the gamblers
  1 31 assistance fund but shall remain available to be used
  1 32 for the purpose designated in the fiscal year
  1 33 beginning July 1, 1996."
