1 1 Amend Senate File 2174 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 2, by striking lines 3 through 9 and
1 3 inserting the following:
1 4 Enforcement of this chapter shall be implemented in
1 5 an equitable manner throughout the state. For the
1 6 purpose of equitable and uniform implementation,
1 7 application, and enforcement of state and local laws
1 8 and regulations, the provisions of this chapter shall
1 9 supersede any local law or regulation which is
1 10 inconsistent with or conflicts with the provisions of
1 11 this chapter, unless the local law or regulation is
1 12 more restrictive in application to a public place
1 13 other than a restaurant, in which case the more
1 14 restrictive portion of the local law or regulation
1 15 shall supersede any inconsistent or conflicting
1 16 provision of this chapter. The Iowa department of
1 17 public".
1 18 #2. Page 3, line 19, by inserting after the word
1 19 "application" the following: "to a public place other
1 20 than a restaurant,".
