  1  1    Amend Senate File 2295 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 607A.8, Code 1995, is amended
  1  5 to read as follows:
  1  6    607A.8  FEES AND EXPENSES FOR JURORS.
  1  7    Grand jurors and petit jurors in all courts shall
  1  8 receive ten dollars the minimum wage as provided in
  1  9 section 91D.1 as compensation for each day's hour of
  1 10 service or attendance, including attendance required
  1 11 for the purpose of being considered for service,
  1 12 reimbursement for mileage expenses at the rate
  1 13 specified in section 70A.9 or section 602.1509 for
  1 14 each mile traveled each day to and from their
  1 15 residences to the place of service or attendance, and
  1 16 reimbursement for actual expenses of parking, as
  1 17 determined by the clerk.  A juror shall not receive
  1 18 reimbursement for mileage expenses or actual expenses
  1 19 of parking when the juror travels in a vehicle for
  1 20 which another juror is receiving reimbursement for
  1 21 mileage and parking expenses."
  1 22    #2.  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 23 word "to" the following:  "compensation for jurors
  1 24 and".
  1 25    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
