  1  1    Amend Senate File 2013 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 6 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 147.2, Code 1995, is amended to
  1  5 read as follows:
  1  6    147.2  LICENSE REQUIRED.
  1  7    A person shall not engage in the practice of
  1  8 medicine and surgery, podiatry, osteopathy,
  1  9 osteopathic medicine and surgery, psychology,
  1 10 chiropractic, physical therapy, nursing, dentistry,
  1 11 dental hygiene, optometry, speech pathology,
  1 12 audiology, occupational therapy, respiratory care,
  1 13 pharmacy, cosmetology, barbering, dietetics, or
  1 14 mortuary science or shall not practice as a physician
  1 15 assistant as defined in the following chapters of this
  1 16 subtitle, unless the person has obtained from the
  1 17 department a license for that purpose."
  1 18    #2.  Page 3, line 22, by striking the word "two"
  1 19 and inserting the following:  "one".
  1 20    #3.  Page 3, line 23, by striking the words
  1 21 "physicians with training in respiratory care, two"
  1 22 and inserting the following:  "physician with training
  1 23 in respiratory care, three".
  1 24    #4.  Page 3, by striking lines 27 through 29 and
  1 25 inserting the following:  "respiratory care, and one
  1 26 member not licensed to practice medicine or
  1 27 respiratory care who shall represent the general
  1 28 public.  A majority of members of the board constitute
  1 29 a quorum."
  1 30    #5.  Page 10, line 29, by striking the word
  1 31 "employed" and inserting the following:  "qualified".
  1 32    #6.  Page 11, line 8, by striking the word "or" and
  1 33 inserting the following:  "and".
  1 34    #7.  Page 11, line 18, by striking the word "or"
  1 35 and inserting the following:  "and".
  1 36    #8.  Page 12, by striking lines 31 through 33.
  1 37    #9.  Page 13, line 1, by inserting after the word
  1 38 "state" the following:  "who administer respiratory
  1 39 care procedures".
  1 40    #10.  Page 14, line 31, by striking the word
  1 41 "committee" and inserting the following:  "committee
  1 42 board".
  1 43    #11.  By striking page 14, line 33, through page
  1 44 15, line 2.
  1 45    #12.  Page 15, line 25, by striking the word
  1 46 "twenty-four" and inserting the following:  "thirty-
  1 47 six".
  1 48    #13.  Page 15, line 27, by striking the word
  1 49 "twenty-four" and inserting the following:  "thirty-
  1 50 six".
  2  1    #14.  By renumbering, relettering, and correcting
  2  2 internal references as necessary.
