  1  1    Amend House File 518, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 7, by striking lines 30 through 32 and
  1  4 inserting the following:  "intrastate access service
  1  5 rates by at least fifty percent of the difference
  1  6 between average intrastate access service rates and
  1  7 average interstate access service rates as of the date
  1  8 that the plan is filed and further reduce such rates
  1  9 to the current average interstate access service rates
  1 10 within ninety days of the date that the plan becomes
  1 11 effective."
  1 12    #2.  Page 16, by striking lines 4 and 5 and
  1 13 inserting the following:  "other sources, the denial
  1 14 of which results in undue harm to the competitor."
  1 15    #3.  Page 18, line 29, by inserting after the word
  1 16 "providers" the following:  "at a level sufficient to
  1 17 compensate a local exchange carrier for its costs
  1 18 incurred in providing the network functions necessary
  1 19 to terminate the telecommunications services
  1 20 originating on the network of the competitive local
  1 21 exchange service provider".
  1 22    #4.  Page 18, line 30, by striking the words and
  1 23 figures "on July 1, 1997, or upon" and inserting the
  1 24 following:  "two years after a competitive local
  1 25 exchange service provider is certified to offer local
  1 26 residential service, or one year after".
