  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-3359, to House File 288, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, line 38, by striking the figure "3."
  1  5 and inserting the following:  "3 and inserting the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  280.17B  STUDENTS
  1  8 SUSPENDED OR EXPELLED FOR POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS
  1  9 WEAPONS.
  1 10    The board of directors of a public school and the
  1 11 authorities in control of a nonpublic school shall
  1 12 prescribe procedures for continued school involvement
  1 13 with a student who is suspended or expelled for
  1 14 possession of a dangerous weapon, as defined in
  1 15 section 702.7, on school premises in violation of
  1 16 school policy or state law and for the reintegration
  1 17 of the student into the school following the
  1 18 suspension or expulsion.""
  1 19    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
