1 4 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 479.48 LANDOWNER
1 5 LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES.
1 6 A landowner shall not be held responsible for any
1 7 damages to a pipeline under this chapter if the
1 8 damages occurred in the normal course of doing
1 9 business on the landowner's property, unless the
1 10 landowner intentionally damaged the pipeline or acted
1 11 with wanton disregard or recklessness in causing the
1 12 damage to the pipeline. For purposes of this section,
1 13 "landowner" means the owner of the property, a family
1 14 member or employee of the owner of the property, or a
1 15 tenant of the owner of the property."

1 19 LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES.
1 20 A landowner shall not be held responsible for any

1 22 damages occurred in the normal course of doing
1 23 business on the landowner's property, unless the
1 24 landowner intentionally damaged the pipeline or acted

1 26 damage to the pipeline. For purposes of this section,

1 28 member or employee of the owner of the property, or a

1 34 A landowner shall not be held responsible for any
1 35 damages to a pipeline under this chapter if the
1 36 damages occurred in the normal course of doing
1 37 business on the landowner's property, unless the
1 38 landowner intentionally damaged the pipeline or acted
1 39 with wanton disregard or recklessness in causing the
1 40 damage to the pipeline. For purposes of this section,
1 41 "landowner" means the owner of the property, a family
1 42 member or employee of the owner of the property, or a
1 43 tenant of the owner of the property.
1 44 Sec. . NEW SECTION. 480.9 LANDOWNER LIABILITY
1 45 FOR DAMAGES.
1 46 A landowner who complies with the requirements of
1 47 this chapter, shall not be held responsible for any
1 48 damages to an underground facility, including fiber
1 49 optic cable, if the damages occurred in the normal
1 50 course of doing business on the landowner's property,
2 1 unless the landowner intentionally damaged the
2 2 underground facility or acted with wanton disregard or
2 3 recklessness in causing the damage to the underground
2 4 facility. For purposes of this section, "landowner"
2 5 means the owner of the property, a family member or
2 6 employee of the owner of the property, or a tenant of
2 7 the owner of the property."
