  1  1    Amend Senate File 466 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 19, by striking the figure "1996"
  1  3 and inserting the following:  "1995".
  1  4    #2.  Page 1, line 21, by striking the figure "1996"
  1  5 and inserting the following:  "1995".
  1  6    #3.  Page 1, line 22, by striking the figure "1997"
  1  7 and inserting the following:  "1996".
  1  8    #4.  Page 1, line 23, by striking the words "and
  1  9 for all subsequent tax years,".
  1 10    #5.  Page 1, line 28, by inserting after the word
  1 11 "dollars." the following:  "For a tax year beginning
  1 12 in the 1997 calendar year, subtract, to the extent
  1 13 included, the total amount for a person who files a
  1 14 separate state income tax return up to a maximum of
  1 15 six thousand dollars, and for a husband and wife who
  1 16 file a joint state income tax return up to a maximum
  1 17 of twelve thousand dollars.  For a tax year beginning
  1 18 in the 1998 calendar year, subtract, to the extent
  1 19 included, the total amount for a person who files a
  1 20 separate state income tax return up to a maximum of
  1 21 twelve thousand dollars, and for a husband and wife
  1 22 who file a joint state income tax return up to a
  1 23 maximum of twenty-four thousand dollars.  For a tax
  1 24 year beginning in the 1999 calendar year, and for all
  1 25 subsequent tax years, subtract, to the extent
  1 26 included, the total amount."
  1 27    #6.  Page 2, line 13, by striking the words and
  1 28 figure "Section 2 of this" and inserting the
  1 29 following:  "This".
