  1  1    Amend Senate File 290 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 11, line 34, through page 12,
  1  3 line 20, and inserting the following:
  1  4    "Sec. 100.  Section 321.189, subsection 7,
  1  5 paragraphs a and b, Code 1995, are amended to read as
  1  6 follows:
  1  7    a.  An operator who has been issued a class M
  1  8 license prior to July 1, 1994 May 1, 1997.
  1  9    b.  An operator who is renewing the operator's
  1 10 class M license issued prior to July 1, 1994 May 1,
  1 11 1997."
  1 12    #2.  Page 18, by inserting after 3 the following:
  1 13    "Sec. 101.  1994 Iowa Acts, chapter 1102, section
  1 14 4, as amended by 1994 Iowa Acts, chapter 1199, section
  1 15 52, is amended to read as follows:
  1 16    SEC. 4.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  The provisions of this
  1 17 Act which amend section 321.189, take effect May 1,
  1 18 1995 1997."
  1 19    #3.  Page 18, by inserting after line 6 the follow-
  1 20 ing:
  1 21    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE AND APPLICABILITY.
  1 22 Sections 100 and 101 of this Act, being deemed of
  1 23 immediate importance, take effect upon enactment and
  1 24 apply retroactively to May 1, 1995, in order to delay
  1 25 the effective date of the amendments to section
  1 26 321.189, subsection 7, Code 1993, to May 1, 1997."
