PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 290 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 7 the 1 3 following: 1 4 "Sec. . Section 321.1, subsection 76, Code 1 5 1995, is amended to read as follows: 1 6 76.A "special"Special truck" means a motor truck 1 7 or truck tractor not used for hire with a gross weight 1 8 registration of six through thirty-two tons used by a 1 9 person engaged in farming to transport commodities 1 10 produced only by the owner, or to transport 1 11 commodities purchased by the owner for use in the 1 12 owner's own farming operation or occasional use for 1 13 charitable purposes. "Special truck" also means a 1 14 motor truck or truck tractor not used for hire with a 1 15 gross weight registration of six through thirty-two 1 16 tons used by a person engaged in farming who assists 1 17 another person engaged in farming through an exchange 1 18 of services. A "special truck" does not include a 1 19 truck tractor operated more than seventy-five hundred 1 20 miles annually." 1 21 #2.
