PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 150 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 31 the 1 3 following: 1 4 "Sec. . Section 600A.5, subsection 3, paragraph 1 5 c, Code 1995, is amended to read as follows: 1 6 c. A plain statement of the facts and grounds in 1 7 section 600A.8, subsections 1 to 4,which indicate 1 8 that the parent-child relationship should be 1 9 terminated. 1 10 Sec. . Section 600A.8, Code 1995, is amended by 1 11 adding the following new subsection: 1 12 NEW SUBSECTION. 8. Both of the following 1 13 circumstances apply to a parent: 1 14 a. The parent has been determined to be a chronic 1 15 substance abuser as defined in section 125.2 and the 1 16 parent has committed a second or subsequent domestic 1 17 abuse assault pursuant to section 708.2A while under 1 18 the influence of a chemical substance. 1 19 b. The parent has abducted the child, has 1 20 improperly removed the child from the physical custody 1 21 of the person entitled to custody without the consent 1 22 of that person, or has improperly retained the child 1 23 after a visit or other temporary relinquishment of 1 24 physical custody." 1 25 #2.
