  1  1    Amend Senate File 68 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 13 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "On or before June 1, 1995, the county auditor of
  1  5 each county shall certify to the director of revenue
  1  6 and finance the total amount of assessed value of
  1  7 taxable property in the county.  After receiving the
  1  8 certifications, on or before July 15, 1995, the
  1  9 director of revenue and finance shall draw warrants
  1 10 from the fund totaling forty million dollars and mail
  1 11 the warrants to the county auditor of each county in
  1 12 an amount equal to the proportion of assessed value of
  1 13 taxable property in the county is to the total
  1 14 assessed value of all taxable property in the state.
  1 15 Upon receipt of funds from the department, the county
  1 16 auditor shall determine on a pro rata basis the amount
  1 17 to be credited to each tract of taxable real property
  1 18 and shall enter the amount upon the tax lists as a
  1 19 credit against the tax levied on each tract of taxable
  1 20 real property before delivering the tax lists to the
  1 21 county treasurer.  The county treasurer shall show on
  1 22 each tax receipt the amount of tax credit for each
  1 23 tract of real property."
