PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 13 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 17 through 19, and 1 3 inserting the following: 1 4 "7. "Parent" means one parent of a pregnant minor, 1 5 a grandparent of a pregnant minor, an adult aunt or 1 6 uncle of a pregnant minor, or an adult sibling of a 1 7 pregnant minor whether of the whole or half blood." 1 8 #2. Page 2, line 11, by striking the word "for" 1 9 and inserting the following: "to". 1 10 #3. Page 3, line 5, by striking the word "minor," 1 11 and inserting the following: "minor or". 1 12 #4. Page 4, by inserting after line 3 the 1 13 following: 1 14 "7. A responsible adult who is selected by a 1 15 pregnant minor or an emancipated pregnant minor under 1 16 this chapter and who complies in good faith with the 1 17 duties of a responsible adult under this chapter, is 1 18 immune from any liability, civil or criminal, which 1 19 might result from and which is related to the 1 20 pregnancy of the pregnant minor or emancipated 1 21 pregnant minor." 1 22 #5. Page 5, line 9, by striking the word "minor," 1 23 and inserting the following: "minor or". 1 24 #6. Page 9, by striking lines 31 and 32 and 1 25 inserting the following: 1 26 "3. Members shall serve terms beginning pursuant 1 27 to section 69.19. Appointments". 1 28 #7. Page 12, by inserting after line 6 the 1 29 following: 1 30 "2. An attending physician who certifies that a 1 31 medical emergency exists which necessitates the 1 32 immediate performance of an abortion on a pregnant 1 33 minor or emancipated pregnant minor, and who complies 1 34 in good faith with the requirements of this section, 1 35 is immune from any liability, civil or criminal, which 1 36 might result from the attending physician's medical 1 37 decision." 1 38 #8. Page 13, by striking lines 25 through 29, and 1 39 inserting the following: 1 40 "Sec. 10. EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 5 of this Act 1 41 relating to the establishment of the advisory 1 42 committee, being deemed of immediate importance, takes 1 43 effect upon enactment. The advisory committee shall 1 44 be appointed within fifteen days of the effective date 1 45 of this Act and may begin performing committee duties 1 46 prior to the beginning of the official commencement of 1 47 the terms of the committee members as provided in 1 48 section 5 of this Act. 1 49 The remainder of this Act takes effect January 1, 1 50 1996, if the video, developed pursuant to section 2 1 135L.2 has been distributed at that time, or thirty 2 2 days following the distribution of the video. If the 2 3 distribution date is subsequent to January 1, 1996, 2 4 the advisory committee shall submit written 2 5 certification of the distribution date of the video to 2 6 the secretary of state, who shall attach the written 2 7 certification to the enrolled bill.
