1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 8D.13A PROHIBITED USES.
1 2 Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, a
1 3 public or private agency authorized to access the network
1 4 shall not permit access to the network by any person, whether
1 5 or not such person is associated with the public or private
1 6 agency and is permitted access to the network while at the
1 7 site of such authorized user, through the use of a computer
1 8 modem located at a site other than at the premises of the
1 9 authorized user.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill prohibits an authorized user of the network from
1 12 permitting access to the network by a person through the use
1 13 of a computer modem located at a site other than at the
1 14 premises of the authorized user. This prohibition applies
1 15 even though the person is associated with the public or
1 16 private agency and is permitted access to the network while at
1 17 the site of such authorized user.
