1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 331.426A COURTHOUSE LIBRARY
1 2 FEES.
1 3 1. The board, by ordinance or resolution, may impose a
1 4 courthouse library fee, in addition to the fees authorized
1 5 pursuant to section 602.8105, subsection 1, as provided by
1 6 this section. The fees shall be imposed by the clerk of the
1 7 district court located in the county that authorizes the fees.
1 8 2. The board may impose a courthouse library fee of no
1 9 more than fifteen dollars as an additional fee to the fees
1 10 authorized in section 602.8105, subsection 1, paragraphs "a",
1 11 "b", "c", and "f". The board may also impose a courthouse
1 12 library fee of no more than five dollars as an additional fee
1 13 to the fees authorized in section 602.8105, subsection 1,
1 14 paragraphs "d" and "e". No additional fee shall be imposed in
1 15 an action concerned with domestic abuse.
1 16 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 602.1305, the
1 17 courthouse library fees collected by the clerk of the district
1 18 court shall be distributed to the treasurer of the county in
1 19 which the district court that imposed the fees is located and
1 20 deposited in a fund to be used for the benefit of the
1 21 courthouse library.
1 22 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
1 23 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
